Statement on behalf of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS

David Pearson, Chair of Nottinghamshire ICS, said: “The leadership of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) is dedicated to enabling innovation in the delivery of health and care services to support the wellbeing and independence of local people. Since the inception of these plans, all parts of the health and care system in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been committed to close and collaborative working to deliver these goals.
In addition to close day to day working, this has included regular attendance at the City Health and Wellbeing Board and the Health Scrutiny Committee.
It is therefore with regret that the Leadership Board of the ICS received notice of Nottingham City Council’s intention to review its membership of the ICS. The Leadership Board welcomed, however, the commitment from Nottingham City Council to continue to deliver integration on the ground and continue to work towards closer integration during this period of review.
The leadership of the ICS will continue to strive towards closer working with all partners within the health and care system of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We will work with Nottingham City Council on any concerns and make every effort to resolve them.”
