In March, we became the the first CCG to launch the My Health smartphone app. The App will give you access to local GP Practice information, the NHS Symptom Checker, health news and advice as well as information from The Money Advice Service and Universal Credit.
Sam Walters, Chief Officer at Nottingham North and East CCG says:
“We’re excited to launch this free app and hope it will help people get up-to-date information about local health care services quickly and easily. We plan to develop it further and work with clinicians and patients in our area to support the integration of online appointment booking and a dedicated section for children’s healthcare needs.”
The key to My Health is that it can link to NHS accredited apps and mobile-optmised services that can help patients understand their health in more detail and promote self-care.
The NHS App Store has accredited a range of apps and mobile services covering many health arenas from diet, exercise and wellbeing to specific conditions, as well as mental health, stopping smoking, sexual health and managing alcohol consumption.
