Remember your repeat prescription in time for Easter!

We’re advising patients not to leave it too late to order and collect repeat prescriptions over the Easter and May Bank Holidays. Running out of daily medication could have serious consequences for patients who rely on them to control their health condition.
Forgetting to take vital medications can leave people extremely unwell. Anyone who regularly orders a repeat prescription should order it at least a week before their medication is due to run out. It can take 48 hours to process a repeat prescription under normal circumstances and even longer during extremely busy periods such as Bank Holidays.
Please also use NHS services wisely over the Bank Holiday period as many GP practices and pharmacies will be closed at times. If in doubt it is best to check opening times well in advance.
For none life threatening problems people can call NHS 111; a fast and easy way to get the right help. Help includes directing to the extended and out of hours GP services.
